The verse of sending blessings
Indeed, Allah confers blessing upon the Prophet, and His angels [ask Him to do so]. O you who have believed, ask [Allah to confer] blessing upon him and ask [Allah to grant him] peace.
Quran 33:56, in Surah Al-Ahzab, says that God and His angels send blessings on the Prophet, and it tells those who believe to do the same and to greet him with peace. It is the verse people mean when they speak of the Quranic command of salawat.
