These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of OpenQuran.app (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

The Service

OpenQuran.app is a free, non-commercial project that lets you read the Noble Quran with translations, recitations, and an AI-assisted search. The Service is provided as a convenience and may change or be discontinued at any time.

Acceptable use

  • Do not use the Service for any unlawful or harmful purpose.
  • Do not attempt to disrupt, overload, or circumvent security or rate limits, and do not scrape or access the Service through automated means beyond normal personal use.
  • Do not submit content that is unlawful, abusive, or infringes the rights of others.

AI search disclaimer

AI search is generated by an automated system and may be incomplete or inaccurate. Results are pointers to help you explore the Quran — not religious rulings or authoritative interpretation. Always read verses in their full context and consult qualified scholarship for religious guidance.

Your submissions

When you submit a search query or feedback, you grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to store, process, and use that content to operate, analyze, and improve the Service. This includes displaying search topics publicly in aggregated or anonymized form as described in our Privacy Policy. Do not submit personal, confidential, or sensitive information.

Intellectual property

The Arabic text of the Quran is in the public domain. Translations, recitations, and commentary are provided by their respective sources and remain the property of those sources under their own terms. The Service's design and software are provided for your personal, non-commercial use.

No warranty

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of results.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Service.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
